What is the Veterans Independence Program (VIP)?
The Veterans Independence Program is a government-funded initiative that provides annual, tax-free financial assistance for home care services. It’s designed to help qualified veterans remain independent and safe in their homes for as long as possible.
You may qualify for VIP if you:
-
Receive a disability benefit
-
Qualify for the War Veterans Allowance
-
Receive Prisoner of War Compensation
-
Are eligible for a Contract Bed or Priority Access Bed in long-term care but are waiting for placement
"The caregivers at East Coast Home Care helped me get through each day with their caring and thoughtful support. When they first came to help, I was barely able to get my day started on my own. I needed a lot of hands-on care, and they provided it with such respect—and always added little touches that made me feel more comfortable and at ease."
